NuoRui's self-developed electronic chart display and information system (ECDIS) provides radar image overlay, chart data personalized service update, AIO (Admiralty Information Overlay) and other added value while meeting international standards. Services to enhance the competitiveness of products and services. After more than half a year of testing by the UKHO (United Kingdom Hydrographic Office), Norweg became the first electronic chart company in China to pass the UKHO AIO test.
AIO includes Temporary and Preliminary Notices to Mariners (T&P NMs), which are important navigational information confirmed by the UKHO. AIO information is similar to electronic chart data and is updated weekly.
Supporting AIO's ECDIS equipment, the crew does not need to manually plot every temporary notice and notice on the ECDIS, like a paper chart; it allows the crew to easily see the safety of the navigation in addition to the standard chart. Additional information; route design is simpler and safer by clearly showing temporary notices and notices of important impact routes; AIO's weekly automatic updates make it easier for ships to meet PSC inspection requirements.
Based on the above reasons, NuoRui has upgraded its ECDIS to provide AIO value-added services. Because ECDIS is one of the main navigation devices for ocean-going vessels, NuoRui submitted ECDIS to UKHO for testing to ensure the correctness of all kinds of AIO information in the process of decryption, loading, display and update.
During the test, UKHO has more understanding of NuoRui, and the two parties will further cooperate to support NuoRui ECDIS equipment to support other value-added services such as Total Tide and Digital Digital Publications (ADP).
"Protect navigation safety, improve shipping and maritime efficiency, and contribute to the safety of China's sea areas. NuoRui people will not forget the "mission" and continue to help the development of national industries in the field of ship navigation and maritime information.
